Many people have asked us why we are moving - so here goes!

It has always been important to us that we give our patients enough time to provide the highest quality eye examinations and choice of eyewear without feeling pressured. Over the last few years we have become busier and busier. Rather than reduce testing times to accommodate more patients we have made the jump to a larger premises. This has given us another testing room which means that we can still give each and every one of you a dedicated hour.

Our move also means John can have a proper lab to make and repair your glasses - the space allows him to be on hand again rather than working from home as he has had to since lockdown.

Finally, and most importantly, moving works for us as a family. As many of you know we have an autistic son/nephew who is growing up fast and will soon be leaving education. We don’t want to leave him home alone! At 6 High Street we have enough space to let him hang out whilst we work - who knows one day we could train him up to give us a hand!!!

We’re going to miss our beautiful spot on the Market Square but are really excited to see what the future brings at 6 High Street!
